One of the biggest objections of potential paintball players is that they are afraid it will hurt, so Low Impact gives us a way to introduce new players without the full impact of the standard .68 caliber paintball. It is also a great option for younger players. With the standard .68 caliber paintball players should be at least 10 years old to play. No, the Outdoor Laser Tag units use a harmless infrared technology similar to a TV remote to deliver the “hit” which causes your sensors to light up. In addition to your sensors lighting up when hit, your laser tag unit will emit sounds to indicate that you have been tagged. No physical projectiles are propelled from the gun.

Every player will need a signed waver and appropriate clothing and shoes. Players under 18 will need a signed wavier by their parent or guardian.
Every game played is point-based and in MOST cases players are allowed to play the full allotted time with scores being tallied at the end of the match. However, under certain circumstances players can elect to start with a predetermined number of lives, which allows players to “eliminate” their opponents earlier in the game. Once eliminated, players are prompted to “return to base” till the match is completed. When you return to base you can check your system to see a summary of your performance throughout the game you just played. Eliminated players cannot shoot or be shot for the duration of the match.
A singular sensor is fixed to the top of the laser gun providing a full, 360 degree hit radius. When you have been hit by another player, a point is scored against you while any hits delivered to an opposing player is counted towards your overall score at the end of the match. The sensor itself provides up-to-date statistics and alerts players once they’ve been hit.
Eliminations are scored independently at the end of the match as a “kill.” Once a player has been hit a final time, provided there’s a set limit, the last player to make contact is awarded the kill as a singular point towards their overall score. Otherwise, players continuously play throughout the match and are alerted via the sensor when they are hit.

Jr. Splat is a new game where kids ages 7-10 can have a blast running around with their friends and marking targets with tiny balls of bio-degradable, water-soluble paint. Players use light-weight, spring-powered paintball markers in a variety of fun and exciting game types.
It is kid-friendly paintball. Younger players, age 7-10, will play a variety of different paintball scenario games, but with guns that shoot about half as fast as regular paintball guns and ammo that is about two-thirds the size of regular paintballs. In addition to playing paintball games, kids will spend time in the target area and have short safety and gun technique briefings throughout the party. If Paintball was high-speed go-karting, Splatmaster would be bumper cars.

Our Birthday Parties, the party that everyone has been raving about, will help you celebrate your kid’s special day in a memorable and fun way! Our staff will take your kids through a series of play activities in our Arena: the practice target area, where they can learn to hit targets, the briefing area, where they can learn all about Splatmaster and finally, the gaming area, where they will engage in all sorts of different games! Our parties are made up of two packages that include admission, rentals (JT Splatmaster guns, chest protectors and masks) and unlimited splat ammo.

There is no additional charge for parents or caregivers to come and watch. If the total number of kids exceeds 10 kids, there is a per-head charge for additional players.
We ask that you and your guests arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled party time to allow time for check in.
We ask that at least one adult stay with the party group during your party’s designated party time. Other adults are welcome to stay and watch the fun!
Yes. For insurance purposes, all guests who play any adventure sport we offer at Santa Clara Paintball are required to have a completed/signed waiver. If you would like to have parents sign the waiver for you to bring with you to the party, waivers are available at Santa Clara Paintball or online here.
Absolutely! All players are equipped with protective gear that is to be worn at ALL times.
The ammo used is designed to be as painless as possible. The impact will cause a sting, such as the flick of a rubber band, but for the most part it is completely harmless.
We love to help people have safe and quality fun! During the activities rotation, kids will be briefed on safety, marker etiquette, and techniques only taking a couple minutes of each of the fifteen minute rotations.
Yes! We have referees facilitate games, teach kids about target practice and conduct safety briefings. Kids will be supervised the whole time.
They are spring loaded and fire at a velocity of 150 FPS, which is about half the speed of a standard paintball marker. At this rate, you can see your ammo fly through the air before you get the satisfaction of seeing your splat! Jr Splat markers are spring-loaded and shoot more gently than regular paintball markers.
We’re sorry, but we cannot stretch play time in the arena, but we do have upgraded time packages available, if you would like to schedule a longer party.
You are welcome to use your own decorations and/or paper products in our party area.
It is less expensive than paintball and geared toward the younger player, age 8-12.
You are more than welcome to bring your own goodie bags & balloons. Just remember that no strongly adhesive tapes (i.e. duct tape, masking tape) can be used.
Make sure groups arrive 45 minutes early.
We recommend that kids wear long sleeves, long pants and tennis shoes. Layering is always best, in case it is hot. Our splat ammo is washable, but we recommend that kids not wear their favorite clothes to play Splatmster, as kids may get a little bit dirty.
If you are bringing a cake, please bring the serving knife, candle, and a lighter (no matches, please). You may want to bring a camera as well.
Outdoor laser tag is a variation of arena laser tag played outdoors and is similar to paintball. When compared to paintball, laser tag is painless because it uses no physical projectiles. Laser tag is a team or individual activity where players attempt to score points by tagging targets, with a hand-held infrared-emitting device. Laser tag is popular with a wide range of ages.
Players should wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothes that they do not mind getting dirty. All players must wear sneakers or comfortable hiking shoes. Open toed shoes or sandals are NOT permitted on the field.
No, the Outdoor Laser Tag units use a harmless infrared technology similar to a TV remote to deliver the “hit” which causes your sensors to light up. In addition to your sensors lighting up when hit, your laser tag unit will emit sounds to indicate that you have been tagged. No physical projectiles are propelled from the gun.
Depending on current weather conditions we will play in light rain. Please call ahead of time if you have an event planned and it is raining to see if it is safe to play.
Laser tag is safe but like any active sport there is a potential for injury. Players run around creating the excitement of the game, but also creating the possibility of accidents. We work very hard to minimize hazards to players.
It is a combination of both. It is an outdoor game like paintball, however, it uses technology that is similar to indoor laser tag. The unique part of Outdoor Laser Tag is the accuracy and range, as well as the unique look and feel of a paintball match.
Yes, you may we have a covered picnic area where you can sit and enjoy your snack and drinks. Great for birthday parties. You can even have a pizza delivered right to the field. We have water, sports drinks, sodas and energy drinks available at the park. No Alcoholic beverages are permitted anywhere on the premises.
For safety reasons, barbeques or cooking grills are discouraged at Santa Clara Paintball Park. We charge $10 per hour to refrigerate cakes.
We require a credit card or driver’s license as collateral per group at the time you pick up your rental equipment. We will return it to you when the equipment is returned at the end of the day.
Every player will need a signed waver and appropriate clothing and shoes. Players under 18 will need a signed wavier by their parent or guardian.
Every game played is point-based and in MOST cases players are allowed to play the full allotted time with scores being tallied at the end of the match. However, under certain circumstances players can elect to start with a predetermined number of lives, which allows players to “eliminate” their opponents earlier in the game. Once eliminated, players are prompted to “return to base” till the match is completed. When you return to base you can check your system to see a summary of your performance throughout the game you just played. Eliminated players cannot shoot or be shot for the duration of the match.
A singular sensor is fixed to the top of the laser gun providing a full, 360 degree hit radius. When you have been hit by another player, a point is scored against you while any hits delivered to an opposing player is counted towards your overall score at the end of the match. The sensor itself provides up-to-date statistics and alerts players once they’ve been hit.
Eliminations are scored independently at the end of the match as a “kill.” Once a player has been hit a final time, provided there’s a set limit, the last player to make contact is awarded the kill as a singular point towards their overall score. Otherwise, players continuously play throughout the match and are alerted via the sensor when they are hit.

Nor Cal Laser Tag guns use infra-red lights to safely “hit” the opponent’s sensors. These beams of light are invisible to the human eye and no more powerful, nor dangerous, than those emitted from your tv remote. Your electronic hopper will notify you when you have either been hit or you hit another player, eliminating the need to physically see the laser beam. That’s what makes the game so much fun to play outdoors in the daytime.
Here at Nor Cal Laser Tag we use the Barracuda System by Predator Games that uses a real Tippman paintball marker which gives kids an outdoor experience not available at existing laser tag facilities! In addition to kids’ parties, the Paintball Laser Tag System can also be used for corporate outings, team practice or even as a rental system or mobile unit to run backyard games.
